Audience Reviews for My Little Pony. Jun 12, 2007. I remember seeing this several times when I was a kid. It doesn't hold up all that well but I'm sure young girls would love it. Like the Marvel Cinematic Universe ’s so-called “Phases”, My Little Pony has come in stages. My Little Pony: A New Generation, the latest adventure based on the Hasbro toy range, spearheads Shrieky, garish and incessantly perky, the movie version of the long-running TV show “My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic” is unlikely to win any new converts. It’s an animated film that’s really intended for the littlest of little kids, who surely will respond to it on a primal, visceral level. I've only ever seen segments of My Little Pony: The Movie presented in 1.33:1 open matte (unlike the similar Transformers and G.I. Joe movies, which were also composed for 1.33:1 but cropped to widescreen for theaters and/or home video), so this doesn't appear to be a hatchet job. With that said, I couldn't imagine cropping this image any What you will—and won't—find in this movie. Parents need to know that My Little Pony: The Princess Promenade is a short film about pony Wysteria becoming a princess. Though she enjoys being a princess and must learn to make choices and delegate tasks, she struggles to be true to herself.
